Over the last four years The Feeling have developed into one of the UK's most popular bands. They have sold over a million copies of their critically-acclaimed debut album, 'Twelve Stops And Home' and were the most played act on British radio in 2006, receiving an astonishing 97,436 spins (or 267 a day). On their travels the band have enjoyed dinner with one inspiration (Richard Carpenter), been welcomed into the Las Vegas dressing room of another (Elton John) and hung out backstage in Japan with four more (Metallica). They managed three appearances on 'Top Of The Pops' before its untimely death, were nominated for Best Single at the 2007 Brits and count Debbie Harry, Helena Christensen and Kiefer Sutherland among their fans.
The bands live highlights include their own sold out forest tour, a triumphant Isle Of Wight festival set and a show-stealing performance at the Diana memorial concert at Wembley Stadium (an impressed US TV exec invited the lads back to Wembley to play directly before the first ever NFL game outside North America in October 2007).
The bands humble beginnings, or 'Hamburg period', began when they first came out to Meribel as a young covers act in 2001. Since then they have always had a soft spot for the resort and often cite it as having had a big influence on their development as a band. In 2008 they decided to return to the resort to play a free concert on the piste to over 5,000 people. After it's amazing success they hatched a plan to organize and curate this years "Meribel Little World Festival". The idea being 'to get a bunch of our musician friends together and have an amazing week of live music, snowboarding and partying.'
We hope you all enjoy it too!
